1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and to provide information to the owners of the site.

At Syllabax, we use cookies primarily to keep you logged in and to remember your preferences (like your selected language or school view).

2. How We Use Cookies

We use the following types of cookies:

Strictly Necessary Cookies

These are essential for the app to function. They include the security tokens that keep you logged in safely. You cannot switch these off.

Performance & Analytics

We use anonymous identifiers to see which pages are most popular (e.g., "Math Topics" vs "Science Topics"). This helps us improve the curriculum content. We do not track your browsing history outside of our app.

Functionality Cookies

These remember your choices, such as your School ID or preferred theme, so you don't have to enter them every time.

3. Third-Party Cookies

Some features of our platform rely on trusted third parties. These providers may also set cookies on your device:

  • Microsoft Azure: For secure authentication and session management.
  • OneSignal: To manage push notification subscriptions.
  • Payment Gateways (Razorpay/Stripe): If you are making a payment, they use cookies to secure the transaction.

4. Managing Cookies

Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings preferences. However, if you limit the ability of websites to set cookies, you may worsen your overall user experience, since it will no longer be personalized to you.

Note: If you disable "Strictly Necessary" cookies, you will not be able to log in to the School Dashboard.

For more information on how we handle your data, please read our Privacy Policy.
